What better way to end a day out with one of your closest friends, than to spend it taking in one of the best views of the Poconos from the Big Pocono State Park?
During the summer, you know, that season that occurred a few short months ago (I am very behind, I realize this. Moving on…), my friend Jody and I decided to go to the one of the nearest Pennsylvania state parks, Big Pocono State Park. I have hiked up to the peak of this particular park when I was young and I took Adam there in the fall, but this was my friend’s first time there. It really was a beautiful, clear, allergy filled visit!
As much as St. Martin is known for it’s beaches, it should also be known for it’s views. Pic du Paradis, Fort Louis, and Fort Amsterdam offer amazing expansive views! On clear days you get a glimpse of Saba (The Unspoiled Queen), Anguilla, and St. Barth’s from various locations on the island. We love places that are rich in history with amazing views and this one definitely offers both!

We made the last minute decision to ditch the norm and see the sunset at Pic du Paradis, the highest point in St. Martin. We heard that there was a road that lead up to it. It sounded promising, but therein lies our bad decision. We are going to drive up to Pic du Paradis, the highest point in St. Martin….in this:
